[Chinaplas 2018] 180,701 visitors! Broke attendance record

CHINAPLAS 2018, in new venue, with new record
The rainy weather prior to the opening of CHINAPLAS 2018 proved not an obstacle for visitors who were eager to acquire latest state-of-the-art plastics technologies. 180,701 visitors showed up in National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Hongqiao, Shanghai, topping CHINPLAS’ all-time record.
CHINAPLAS 2018 drew down its curtain on April 27 in Shanghai, China, with a record attendance of 180,701 visitors, announced the organizer, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. The no. of overseas visitors was 47,900, accounting 26.51%.
Compared with the Shanghai show held in 2016, the number of visitors rose 21.62%. In addition, it was also a staggering increase of 16.39% versus the last edition in Guangzhou in 2017.

Concurrent events successfully held
Not only over 4,000 distinguished exhibitors showcased their state-of-the-art products at CHINAPLAS 2018, exciting concurrent events were also held fruitfully to reinforce the theme of “Innovation is Key to the Future”, boosting the exchange of expertise and information exchange.
These include “3rd Industry 4.0 Conference”, “Tech Talk”, “Medical Plastics Connect” and “CMF Inspiration for Design x Innovation”.
CHINAPLAS 2018 ran from April 24-27, 2018. The exhibition area reached 340,000sqm, an expansion of 100,000sqm compared to the last edition held in Shanghai two years ago. Over 4,200 machines and equipment were being showcased, while more than 1,200 chemical companies participated in the show.
CHINAPLAS 2019 will be moving to Guangzhou, running from May 21 – 24, 2019.
